Attendance Policy
Regular attendance is important for the continuity of our community service projects. Please notify the coordinator at least 48 hours in advance if you will be unable to attend a scheduled volunteer session. If you miss more than three consecutive sessions without notice, your spot may be offered to others on the waiting list to ensure consistent community support.
Safety Guidelines
Safety is our priority during all volunteer activities. Participants must wear appropriate clothing and footwear for the assigned tasks. High-visibility vests will be provided for outdoor activities when required. All volunteers must sign in and out at each session. First aid kits are available at all volunteer locations, and at least one supervisor with first aid training will be present at each activity.
Volunteer Code of Conduct
All Community Helpers volunteers are expected to represent our organization with respect and dignity. Treat everyone with kindness and courtesy. Respect the privacy and confidentiality of those we serve. Any form of discrimination, harassment, or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated. Volunteers should report any concerns to the coordinator immediately.
Parental Consent Requirements
Volunteers under 18 years of age must submit a signed parental consent form before participating in any activities. Parents/guardians of volunteers under 16 must remain on-site or designate another responsible adult during volunteer sessions. For overnight or extended service projects, additional consent forms and emergency contact information will be required.
Service Hours Documentation
We maintain accurate records of all volunteer hours for students who need service hour verification for school, scholarships, or awards programs. Volunteers must sign in and out at each session. Hours are logged electronically and can be accessed through your volunteer portal. Official service hour letters can be requested with two weeks' notice. Hours are only credited for attended sessions; missed sessions cannot be logged.
