Celebrate Independence Day with your Springfield neighbors! Join Community Helpers for a festive day of patriotic games, lawn activities, a community potluck, and a group walk to the city fireworks viewing area. A fun, family-friendly way to mark the holiday together.

This is bigger than our regular park cleanups — it's a city-wide effort! All Springfield households are invited to join Community Helpers for a massive one-day beautification blitz covering multiple neighborhoods, public spaces, and high-traffic corridors. Let's show what our community can do together.

Grow a greener Springfield! Learn which native plants thrive in our local climate, how to replace invasive species, and how a well-planted yard supports pollinators and reduces water usage. Participants will take home a starter native plant to get their garden going.

Keep Springfield's pets safe and compliant! In partnership with a licensed veterinary team, this one-day clinic offers low-cost vaccinations, microchipping, and on-site city pet registration. Fulfills the Community Helpers membership requirement for pet registration and vaccination for members participating in K9 events.

Celebrate National Tree Day by going beyond planting — learn how to design a thriving permaculture system! This hands-on workshop covers the core principles of permaculture design, food forest layering, and how trees, shrubs, and ground cover can work together to create a self-sustaining edible landscape. Participants will plant a tree in the community garden as part of Springfield's National Tree Day contribution.
