A hands-on build session focused on fire and smoke alarm systems using ESP32/ESP8266, MQ-2 sensors, and simple notification pipelines (LINE Notify, Home Assistant). We will cover sensor calibration, alert logic, and safe deployment. Bring your board if you have one — extras provided.
Intro & Safety Brief
Why DIY fire alarms? Overview of sensor types, microcontroller choices, and safety considerations.
Hardware Setup
Wire up MQ-2 sensors to ESP32. Power, voltage dividers, and analog reading.
Firmware & Alert Logic
Flash firmware, tune thresholds, and set up alert output — buzzer, LED, and LINE Notify.
Testing & Calibration
Live sensor tests. Discuss false-positive reduction strategies.
Share & Wrap
Everyone shares their build. Open Q&A and next session preview.
ESP32 or ESP8266 if you have one. MQ-2 sensors and breadboards provided. Laptop required.
