What We Made
A multi-chamber wooden bee hotel designed specifically for native solitary bees like mason and leafcutter bees.
Materials Used
Untreated bamboo hollows, reclaimed pine wood, and natural twine.
What Was Hard
Cutting the bamboo without splintering it and ensuring the varying hole diameters were exactly right for native Thai pollinators to safely nest.
What We Learned
We learned about the vital ecosystem role of solitary bees, their nesting behaviors, and basic woodworking safety.
