About This Event
Get your feet wet! We are conducting a biological assessment of the local wetlands. Students will collect water samples, identify macroinvertebrates, and determine the health of the ecosystem based on biodiversity.

Ecology Intro
Understanding wetland functions and indicator species.
10:00(90 min)
Field Sampling
Dip-netting and water quality testing (pH, nitrates).
11:30(60 min)
Microscope Lab
Identifying organisms collected and recording data.
Materials Needed
Rubber boots (waders provided), change of socks, sun protection.
